VOLUNTEERING

The vitality of a village is also measured by its ability to open up to the world. If the Senegalese find it difficult to leave their country, the world can come to them on the other hand. Cultural discoveries and exchanges are actions that contribute to the training of young people and to their openness.

We see this hosting of volunteers as a win-win partnership.

On the one hand, young people (and not so young) eager to discover a different culture while providing social assistance. On the other hand, a village that can only benefit from the availability, experience and skills provided by the volunteer.

For the discovery to be the most "  true  »Possible, the volunteer is housed and fed in a family in the village  ; its living conditions are as close as possible to village reality.

He helps kindergarten in support of a teacher, but can also develop any personal project that is of interest to the population. During the school year, he takes part in reinforcement courses for elementary school students.

Sightseeing tours are of course on the program.

A partnership agreement was signed on December 24, 2017 with the Belgian organization Service Volontaire International.

In 2018, 6 of them came to us  : Etienne and Nicholas from Quebec, Mélyssandre, Célia, Elisa and Flora. For all, these were stays rich in discoveries, encounters and personal enrichment. In 2019, they were 26! For us, for the children, these are wonderful memories… and concrete help for teachers and students.

The cost is € 270 per month, which includes accommodation, 3 meals and transfers.
